Kix Tasting

I discovered recently that Madi is tall enough to reach ontop of our table, and almost our counters. So this was my lesson on putting things farther away from the edge of the table. I admit, it was so cute I had to let her jsut do her thing and take pictures from the side. She actually didn't make that big of a mess!

I LOVE this! Looking in to see right where she needs to find them

Those Kix are so yummy!

She spilled some, so she started cleaning those up too!

So, I'm basically trying to back track, and post all of the cute things Madi has been doing for the last month. I know I should be better at this blogging thing, but sometimes, time just gets away from me.
These first pictures on Madi helping me ..."sort" the recycling. :) What a good helper!

She looks a little guilty in this one. :)
This set is of Madi's first taste of Chocolate pudding. Well, any chocolate really. I must admit of been depriving her of the goodness, because I know it's not good for her. I want to do a better job at keeping her healthy than I have myself.

But how on earth could I resist this face?!

She just had the smallest taste, but she REALLY liked it!

Scrounging for Leftovers

This is one of Madi's many daily rituals! When she gets done eating a meal, she has to go looking for the pieces she tossed overboard. She is such a nut. Sometimes I wonder if she is purposfully throwing them over to "save them for later".

I do try to pick most of the food up before she gets down, but sometimes she gets to it before I do. Look at that little guilty face!

Caught in the act of finding cheerios! But man is she cute!

Hair Do's

This is what Madi's hair looks like when she takes her ponytail out. It starts out looking like Manni from Ice Age, Then it slowly turns into a mohawk.

I think she looks like an 90's baby in this second picture with her funny little shorts. :)

Tooth Brush

This is something I've been trying to catch a picture of for a while. Everytime one of us brush our teeth with Madi around, she wants to be a part of it. She's always trying to get her mouth on the other end and"help" us. I think it's pretty cute. It also helps her want to brush her own teeth. :)

Our Super Hero!

Madi likes to get towels, pillows, blankets, and just about anything she can get a hold of, and drag them around the house. She usually does this by draping them over her shoulder. This time it was a pillowcase, and she did the same thing. So naturally we tied it up. The same morning she was also dragging Johns belt around, so we tied it around her waste and POOF! - a Super hero was born!
She really had a blast with this!

Daddy tried to make her pose, she looks a little .. unsure.. to me. :)

A more relaxed pose! Such a good hero!

taking a break from saving the day, to play with her blocks.

These photos are cute, but they really don't do her justice - she really is SO much cuter in person! Especially when she runs through the house laughing at herself!

Madi's Birthday! (finally...)

So I know this post is WAY over due, but at least it's hear now! So for Madi's 1st birthday we were all sick! We didn't really celebrate to much the day of, but we did have a fun day. First I took her to get some Birthday balloons, then later in the day, John took her to get some Birthday books. :) We had pancakes for dinner as her birthday "cake" and she loved them!
I also made carrot cake cupcakes, and she LOVED those too! She is a big fan of carrot cake, and it makes me feel a little better about giving her cupcakes.
The cupcakes we're heart shaped!

She was unsure at first, but quickly got the hang of it!

Yummy carrot cake!

This was my first time with the heart pan. I had to try different ways at frosting them! I know thats kinda bizarre to worry about, but circles are easy, hearts weren't. So these were my practice cupcakes.

Mealtime has now become play time for Madi as she decides spoons are toys. But isn't she SO cute?!

These are the few friends she had over for her Birthday once we were all feeling a little better.

The cupcake she ate at her party had a little frosting on it, so she liked it even better then the first ones.

Such a silly sweet girl! She picked out pink spoons for her party and ended up playing with one all day.

Happy girl loves her balloons too!

Showing off her Birthday dress! (that's still a little too big)

What a dollface!! This was after her party when it was time for a nap. She was slowing down a little, but still being cute as ever!
I wanna thank everyone for her presents, and books! She LOVES every book she owns and they are what she plays with 90% of the time! ( the other 10% is probably getting into the kitchen cupboards!) Haha!
I am so glad she had a good 1st Birthday! It was small, which I like because she really isn't going to remember it, and it will be easier to outdo next year! I love you little bug!!
