I'm so excited to finally know what we're having, but I must admit I'm a little nervous.. this is uncharted territory for me! We went to the store just after our Dr. appointment, and I realized what all my friends said was true, cute boy clothes are not as easy to find as cute girl clothes! I'm not totally sure about any "theme" for this baby, so we'll be sticking with the jungle animals we had for Madi. So, blues and greens are the order of the day. :) And yes, he is MOST definitely a boy! We also saw on the ultrasound that he does not like to be squished and was constantly stretching out his legs -all the way-! I'm sure this will be fun for my ribs as the pregnancy goes along :)
I know I have been using our blog as a Madi updater, but it is supposed to be for our whole family.. so I'll try to get better at using it. For anyone who may have missed our announcement over Thanksgiving, I just wanted to share that we are expecting baby #2! The baby is due May 13th, but because I have to have a c-section, it'll probably be scheduled around the 6th. I'm about 18 1/2 weeks along now, and I started to feel the baby move about a week ago. :) It is so fun, and helps make this seem more real. :) I've been staying so busy with Madi that some days I honestly don't think about being pregnant at all. (Unless I get wildly hungry - and then sick because of it.) We have an ultrasound appointment on the 23rd of this month to hopefully find out the gender of the baby! Let's hope we have full cooperation because I'm Dying to know! We are really excited about this and are thankful for the support we've been getting from our friends and family! Thanks guys!
It's bound to be cute!! Mom found this adorable polka dot fabric that would make a perfect Minnie Mouse dress. Madi is growing like a weed so we agreed the dress should be made large so she'd have room to grow! It was also Made longer cause this girl is tall, and again, growing fast. So this is the dress!! I haven't made the matching bow yet, but I have the fabric to do it.
Daddy had to coach her and show her how to smile, but she did really well! Far better than the "dear in the headlights" look we usually get when flashing a camera in her face. Especially considering she's really sick right now.
I love this! This is Madi's "surprise!" face that she gave us when we first told her to smile pretty for Grandma's picture. :)
For Halloween we went to the church activity which was a potluck, with a couple games afterward. We ate some really good food, great desserts and had fun letting Madi run around and play games. I think she understood that today was different... She ran around like a wild child on a sugar high, but hadn't had any sugar! It was pretty cute, but our camera batteries were dead. Luckily a lady in the ward got a photo and emailed it to me. So here's my ladybug! She really did have spots on her tutu, but they all seem to be hiding in this picture.

Madi's Beautiful curls!!! I must admit sometimes it gets frustrating because I don't know how to work with them, but they are so pretty! I found a detangler/conditioner that really helps to keep the matting at a minimum.

The day before we moved, we are finally packing! Madi decided she made the best carry-on item. :) I have to agree with her, but I don't think she'll like being stuck in a suitcase.
If she's going to be the carry-on, she made sure she had a book and a ball to keep her busy.

I know I should be cutting my losses on everything I’ve missed, but I just can’t let it all go. So please bear with me while I hurriedly play catch up over the past few months.
These are the last of our photos from our Oregon trip in April/May of this year. (I know I’m REALLY behind!)I won’t post much about each picture, just know that we had a GREAT time and hardly have any pictures for all the fun that we had!

She Loved playing under the table, chasing the dogs, and even making her own jungle gym with the dining room chairs. Oh and just a fun fact.. When we first got to Becca's house Madi could run under the table without touching it, by the time we left she was hitting her head on the table. We were there for quite a while! :)
Madi loved playing with all 6 of Becca's dogs, but the smaller ones were easier to play with. The big ones were at the right height to give her kisses on the face, but she didn't like that too much. :)
Madi also loved playing with Baloo, Becca's parrot. While he isn't always predictable (therefore she couldn't really "play" with him) he was always kind when she'd scoot around his cage to look out the window.
Auntie Becca's house has lots of toys to play with, but sometimes it's the simple things that can be the most fun. She tried so hard to climb up and stay balance on this box. She was proud of herself when she finally did it!
Madi's addiction to food shines through when we catch her climbing into the fridge. Anytime someone would even get too close to it, she'd run over - ready to get in and find something yummy! I think here, she was going for the strawberries. :)
During our stay in Albany, I would exercise at Curve's with my mom. Madi got to play with the wonderful Laurie D.B.! Laurie is one of my absolutely favorite people ever!! If I had two mom's, she would so obviously be my second mama!! She is super sweet, and also the mother of my bestest friend, Courtney! She has been very sweet and helpful to me in so many ways over the many years I've know her! I was very excited that she got to spend time with Madi while we were in town. I would really love for Madi to know her as she grows up. The last day Madi spent at Laurie's, I sent the camera with her so we could see all the cute things that Madi does.
First thing every morning, Madi would eat dry cereal and watch Olivia with Laurie. I was told Olivia was the only TV show Madi paid any attention to. Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks!
Anyone who knows Madi, knows she just adores all animals! This is Mona, one of Laurie's kitties! I'm actually surprised she put up with Madi! Madi tends to get pretty excited and screechy, but I'm so glad we have these photos!
What a priceless expression! She just loves those wittle kitties!
Madi still hasn't grasped the concept of fake fruit. Laurie said she loved banging these apples together. I was also told Madi insisted on having one of each color!

Here is the second batch of photos from our stay in Albany. We had such a great time! Though it rained quite a bit while we were there, there were a few days that we were able to go outside and enjoy Grandma's large yard!
I couldn't resist taking a photo of Madi's bedhead! Her hair is getting longer and doing crazy things! It's all John's fault. And I think it's super cute!
We were very lucky to have Uncle Kenny come play with us! Madi loved to play on the swing with Kenny! I think Uncle Kenny enjoyed it just as much as she did!! :)
Most of the grass was pretty tall, and therefore hard for Madi to get through, but she loved running around exploring the neverending backyard!
After coming inside, Madi found the ever loved "stop sign chair". This chair has been in our family for who knows how long, and is loved by all of us! I just remember it being bigger.... :)
This chair is well worn and well loved. I couldn't begin to try to describe it, so I thought I would take a picture to save myself the trouble.
Alright, I know it's been way to long since I last updated, but we had our big trip to Oregon that lasted almost 6 weeks. Since we've been back we have really been in recovery mode; Madi got sick for a week, and we've been focusing on apartment hunting, and packing. Even now, I don't have time to post all of our photos so I'm doing it in shifts. This first little set is from fun at Grandma's house.
Madi Had fun playing with grandpa and his silly hats when he came home from Seattle.
Madi is all about food and all about being in the kitchen. Whenever dinner was being made, she really wanted to be part of the action. And a taste tester! :) Madi also loved that grandma's kitchen has LOTS of drawers she can open! One of them holds the aprons, so madi pulled this out and asked to put it on. She was a great little helper!

Madi and I dyed eggs this Easter!! Well, I mainly did it, but she helped color the ones with crayon on them! It was loads of fun and I don't know why everybody doesn't do it every year!

We were trying to get a picture of Madi in her super duper cute Easter dress, but she wasn't staying still AT ALL. So I jumped in and tried to help. This is a miracle shot that we are even looking at the direction of the camera, and all eyes are open! Haha. What adventure it is trying to take pictures of a toddler.
This is one I took after we decided all hope was lost. I had started putting things away, and Madi finally sat down (to pout). So i tried to descretely whip my camera back out and snap something before she moved. Unfortunetly my hand was in front of half the flash, so thats why there are odd shadows.
I discovered recently that Madi is tall enough to reach ontop of our table, and almost our counters. So this was my lesson on putting things farther away from the edge of the table. I admit, it was so cute I had to let her jsut do her thing and take pictures from the side. She actually didn't make that big of a mess!

This set is of Madi's first taste of Chocolate pudding. Well, any chocolate really. I must admit of been depriving her of the goodness, because I know it's not good for her. I want to do a better job at keeping her healthy than I have myself.
